Neighbours John Blaine and Tony Reed killed the Arlington couple, Patrick Shunn and Monique Patenaude. The detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office say they have found out why.

Earlier believed to be in the Ellensburg area, it is not known where the two killers are now. They are thought to be driving a 2007 Volkswagen EOS coupe belonging to their parents.

While John is 53 years old and roughly 5'08" and 190 lbs, Tony is 49 years old and roughly 5'11" and 150 lbs.

"The public should absolutely be worried," said Sheriff Trenary at a Sunday afternoon press conference.

Though Patrick Shunn and wife Monique Patenaude have been thought to have not been found, detectives surmise that they have been killed. They went up to where the missing couple's Land Rover and Jeep were found in a wooded area near Oso.

"John Reed's former house was very close to where Patrick and Monique lived," Trenary said.

There seem to be some property disputes between the Reed brothers and the missing couple, over a large lot near the Stillaguamish River, owned by Shunn and Patenaude. Three years ago, the couple had filed a lawsuit against the Reeds, alleging that They filed a lawsuit against the Reeds three years ago, claiming that they had driven their RVs into their land and let loose their dogs to upset their farm animals.

Going over their abandoned cars, the Snohomish County sheriff says they found evidence of murder and incriminating evidence in a home where John Reed once lived. Detectives said they were also able to obtain video surveillance footage tying the Reed brothers to the disposal of the vehicles.

The Sheriff's Office disclosed that its two attempts in order of importance are to find Shunn and Patenaude and secondly, to catch the Reed brothers.

"The recovery of Patrick and Monique is our agency's number one priority right now, for the sake of their families," said Sheriff Trenary. "Our second priority is getting the Reed brothers into custody and off the streets."
