Android fans of Crossy Road rejoice. An update with 4-player multiplay mode is set for launch soon.

Yodo1 Games recently announced that the game will first launch for Android before launching for iOS. Though Apple TV version for the game is available, it looks like Yodo wants to keep multiplayer exclusive for Android before making it available for other platforms. It remains to be seen if players cutting across platforms can play the game.

In other Crossy Road updates, some users reported a glitch that showed PSY riding a chicken while dancing!

Crossy Road became an instant hit and reportedly raked up over $ 10 million in revenue three-quarters of which came from ads. A clever combination of rewards and ads is said to be the reason behind the game's success. Yodo has also provided regular updates to keep its gamers loyal.

The success of Crossy Road genre is certainly worth replication if Disney's take on the game is any indication. The studio launched its own Crossy Road game where Disney characters replace the hen.

According to Polygon, the game includes nine worlds including Lion King, Inside Out and Toy Story and over 100 characters. Classic characters Mickey and Donald share space with more recent characters the studio introduced.

"Disney prides itself on is being fun for all ages," Disney associate producer Travis Marshall reportedly said. "We like to touch all demographics, and Crossy Road is something everyone can have fun with, no matter the age. We were able to touch from all of our franchises, some of our ones that maybe only adult audiences are more familiar with and we'll get younger audiences to buy into, and so it's really going to help get everyone exposed to our great IP that we've done over the years.
