Rumors reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers are shopping Dion Waiters. Waiters, who got off to a slow start but has since been making his shots, could be traded before the deadline in February.

"Sources say that the Cavs are well aware landing a quality big man likely depends on selling on potential trade partners to take back polarizing shooting guard Dion Waiters," ESPN.com's Marc Stein wrote. "Cleveland rates Waiters' talent highly, but sources maintain that the Cavs have let a number of teams know they are prepared to surrender him if they can acquire a difference-making center in return."

Waiters, a No. 4 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, is averaging 9.6 points, 2.1 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 23.4 minutes this season. His career averages are 14.6 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 28.5 minutes.

In the game against the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 8, Waiters finished the night with 26 points in 30 minutes of play. The Cavs won that game 110-88. Despite Waiters' slow start, his teammates and coaches have noted his hard work and experience in the league.

"I think all of us, we know he's a very, very good basketball player," LeBron James said reported by ESPN.com's DaveMcMenaminsaid. "And when his number is called, I think the best thing is to come in with a lot of energy and effort and you can't worry about the ball going in. All of us, we all know that. We can't control it. It's a make-or-miss league. One thing you can control is how hard you play and how much you give to the team, how much you sacrifice for the team and we're all trying to do that."

However, even with Waiters' recent surge, he could still very much be traded. Rumors suggest that Waiters could be headed to the Memphis Grizzlies due to the Cavs' interest in back up Kosta Koufos and Tayshaun Prince.
