'Game of Thrones' Season 6, News Update: Request to President Obama to Share Advanced Copies
With the premiere day of season 6 "Game of Thrones" looming near, the excitement of fans has reached its crescendo. The audience is finding it difficult to contain their curiosity but they cannot do anything as HBO has taken extreme care not to leak the spoilers.
When season 5 ending on a cloudy note, keeping the fates of all fan-favorites under wraps, there was a lot of speculation about the sixth season. And now that the trailers are out, the guessing game has become more intense, as they are not giving out any major clues.
However, President Obama has gotten his hands on the season 6 happenings as the channel presented him with advanced copies of the upcoming season. Well, he is the privileged president or is he not? According to reports, Refinery 29 writer Vanessa Golembewski has laid claim on the premiere episode using Freedom of Information Act.
The feature writer has filed a request with the US government stating that she would like President Obama to share advance screener of Game of Thrones with the public.
Now, this is truly some smart thinking on her part. Whether or not, it materializes into reality remains to be seen. As of now, no response has come out from the office of the president or the information department.
Notably, show creators had announced at the Hollywood premiere of the fantasy series that the only person to get the advanced copies of the series is president of America. Otherwise, HBO has been very guarded regarding the spoilers of season 6 as the television network has had a bad taste of the same in Season 5 when the overenthusiastic fans managed to watch the premier before the release.
