Even the game's development has been cancelled at the moment. The reason for this change has been attributed to Nintendo's plans for releasing "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."
Even though the reports suggest that the game has indeed been axed and will not be released, these speculations should not be taken seriously until an official announcement has been made by the company. It is important to note that Nintendo 3DS platform has already mentioned a release date for "Pokémon Z" in 2016.
