Once again, every Major League Baseball team will be putting on custom-themed uniforms for various holidays throughout the 2016-17 season. Apart from wearing holiday-themed uniforms, MLB players will also be seen wearing commemorative uniforms in recognition of Memorial Day and the Fourth of July or Independence Day.

However, the program has been expanded to include themed garments that baseball teams will don for both Mother's Day and Father's Day. Also part of the release would be theme-designed uniforms for the 2016 All-Star Game, Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, and T-Mobile Home Run Derby.

As reported on MLB's official website, teams will be wearing pink-infiltrated wristbands, ribbons, shoes and shoelaces, and pink bats. The eye-popping pink theme also brings greater breast cancer awareness. And on Father's Day, clubs will put on light blue-incorporated special jerseys and caps including the traditional wearing of blue ribbons and wristbands ever since MLB formed partnership with Prostate Cancer Foundation in 1996.

The interesting holiday-designed and special events-themed uniforms were products of joint efforts between MLB, New Era, and Majestic Athletic. As part of MLB's corporate social responsibility program, proceeds from sales will be forwarded as donations to a number of partner cancer and veteran charities according to SportsLogo.Net.

For quite some time, many of the designs were already hinted at a media event sponsored by the San Francisco Giants. Meanwhile, here are the breakdown of the designs with brief descriptions as compiled by ESPN:

Mother's Day (Sunday, May 8): This will mark MLB's first pink-themed uniform designs including pink ribbon patches and pink wristbands.

Memorial Day (Monday, May 30): Uniforms and related accessories will be rendered in camouflage.

Father's Day (Sunday, June 19): Another MLB first- teams had previously worn only blue ribbons and wristbands on Father's Day. This time, entire uniform designs will have accents of blue.

Independence Day (Monday, July 4): Uniforms will be decorated with American flag sleeve patch plus a star-themed pattern for the lettering, numbering, and accessories.

All-Star workout and home run derby (Monday, July 11): This year's designs for the derby are based on the Padres' old "Taco Bell" uniforms with players donning brown jerseys with gold trim and Padres-style retro lettering, and reversed color scheme.

All-Star Game (Tuesday, July 12): Players will wear their regular team jerseys with an All-Star Game sleeve patch, two gold stars flanking the MLB logo on the back collar, players' signatures printed in gold on the right front shirttail accompanied by gold stars indicating the player's number of All-Star appearances.

This year's unveiling is the first time Major League Baseball has decided to roll out holiday and special event uniform designs in one go. In the past, promoted designs were announced and released one at a time.
