Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's penchant for developing exciting young talents has never been in doubt and it seems he could have a gem in his hands this summer if Arsenal are able to beat off rivals in their bid to recruit Ajax's 19 year old midfielder Riechedly Bazoer. Arsenal's scouts have watched the player several times and Wenger sent the club's head of scouting Steve Rowley to the Netherlands in order to take another look at the player before the Gunners put in a serious bid for the player.

It is believed that some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Spanish giants Barcelona as well as fellow English Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, which is why it is expected that Arsenal could lodge an early bid for the youngster. Bazoer is already a Dutch international and is regarded as one of the best talents to have come out of the famed Ajax youth system in recent years. Arsene Wenger believes that the squad needs a major overhaul in the summer and he is going to go about it by supplanting it with a mix of youngsters and experienced proven winners. Bazoer is part of that project. Other targets include 19 year old Ben Chilwell from Leicester City among others.

Arsenal's failed title challenge in the 2015-16 season has given the manager enough reason to go for a shake up that would see an exodus of underperforming players as well as those who are going to be out of contract once the current season comes to an end. Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky are definitely going to part ways with the club while the club is listening to offers for forward Theo Walcott, winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and left back Kieran Gibbs. Arsene Wenger is going to get into the final year of his contract and is keen to deliver the league title before he finally decided to hang up his boots, which is why he is now trying to freshen up the team so that it is able to compete on all fronts. The strength in depth could be the big factor in a genuine title challenge next season.
