Producers Chris Bernard and Doug Miro have not officially stated anything regarding the premiere of "Nacros" season 2. However, last year Netflix had announced the crime thriller is set to come out in August. But, there is still no official word of its specific release date.

According to Slash Film, Eric Newman, showrunner of the show, revealed that the second season will cover the death of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura). "Trust me, if we could find a way to keep him alive and keep Wagner on the show..." Newman lamented. "He will die. The design of the show is we told 15 years of history in season one. At the point of Escobar's escape which is the summer of 1992, Escobar has 18 months to live."

Newman also said "Escobar's death, is not something they could change. If they force to stretch it to another season that would be 'disingenuous' of them." He said, "That story was always designed to have an ending."

Still, Newman assures the fans of the show that the story will continue because the drugs did not end with Escobar. He said that there are more stories in the world that they can explore and would continue after his death. He cited "Homeland" as an example when Damian Lewis' character Nicholas Brody" died in the series, but there is still a continuation of the plot until now.

He added, "I haven't thought that much about where do we go from here. I just want the best version of season two."

The first season of "Narcos" contained the 15 years of Escobar's life as a notorious Colombian drug lord who smuggled 80 percent of cocaine supply in the United States at the peak of his career. He was called the "King of Cocaine." He was shot dead by the Colombian National Police in 1993, just 18 months after he escaped from prison.

Newman, we expect more news and updates of "Narcos" season 2.
