Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather: Filipino Boxer Hints at Possible Rematch with Mayweather

If Manny Pacquiao stands by his word to the end, then the phenomenal Pacman of the boxing world may ended his career in a truly remarkable and glorious fashion after a not-so-interesting match with Floyd 'Moneyman' Mayweather, Jr. from which he was defeated.

Already, Pacquiao resuscitated world interest in his boxing prowess enough to indirectly pitch a re-match to settle the lingering ill-will after coming up short against Moneyman almost a year ago.

"Yes, I am retired," Pacquiao as quoted by The Guardian. "I want to go home to my family and serve the people."

But will he finally turn back on boxing?

Pacquiao is currently a two-term legislator and gunning for seat in the Philippine senate in next month's national elections. Recent surveys show him as one of the clear favorites to win.

"Should he win - and he is one of the favorites - it would be almost impossible to remain an active fighter," NPR reported.

So for now, the Pacman is gearing himself up for the upcoming election but leaves room for a reflection later for a possible re-match with his undefeated American rival.

"If you ask me about my condition, my body ... I'm still OK. I can still give a good fight. I worked hard in training. I feel OK. I like to fight, the way we prepare. I'm happy doing that. My heart is 50/50. I love my family. Boxing is a really hard sport, very difficult. I might enjoy retired life or I may come back. Right now, my decision is to retire ... I love to help people," Pacquiao said as quoted by Bleacher Report.

Promoter Bob Arum also thinks that with Pacman's impressive win over Bradley, a sales pitch is likely especially if the price is just about right.

"I know from talking to Floyd - if there's demand for a particular fight - I think he will give it strong consideration," said Bob Arum on the likelihood of Moneyman vs Pacman bout in the future as reported by News Australia.

"But I think this is one where we're not going to put the cart before the horse. If people are interested in that fight then I think they'll make their voices heard and we'll start working on it."
