Ubislate Release Date and Rumors: Datawind's new budget-friendly tablet is here

Datawind have come out with a new voice-calling tablet called the Ubislate i3G7 here in India. It is available for immediate purchase for a price of about 70US$ approximately. The maximum retail price for the product is about 99US$.

The tablet comes with free internet browsing for a period of about twelve months if purchased through Reliance networks store. Buyers purchasing this tablet will have to navigate to ubisurfer browser and register their details in the registration form to procure 12 months of free internet browsing. The company says users won't be needing any specific data plans or any other additional fee to browse internet.

The first year of free unlimited browsing will not be including audio and video streaming or even local-downloads. Datawind in a statement said that users will however have to pay for additional surfing plans for facilities like these. The tablet comes with an IPS dispaly screen with a display resolution of 600p in a 7-inch size. It is powered by Intel's Atom x3 processor clocked at 1.2ghz in a quad-core 64-bit architecture. 1GB ram runs the phone with a storage of 8GB internally and also houses an expandable storage slot of upto 32GB through a Micro-SD card.

Android 5.1 lollipop is used on the device. It also comes with a dual-Sim facility and a 2MP rear camera. The front camera is VGA. It will weight about less than 300grams which is heavy considering it's a tablet. While we are not sure whether there will be 4G bands, 3G bands are however present with Wi-Fi 802.11n band for Wi-Fi connections and also comes with GPS facilities and Bluetooth 4.0. It has a 2,800mAh battery.
