Angelina Jolie Called ‘Minimally Talented Spoiled Brat' in Confidential Emails Leaked by Sony Hackers
Angelina Jolie, the "Maleficent" actress, happened to be a topic of bemoaning discussion between two top management executives at Sony Pictures, a latest thread of emails leaked by the group of hackers who have been exposing the studio's private data, revealed.
Amy Pascal, co-chairperson of Sony Pictures and movie producer Scott Rudin were discussing Jolie's role in the now-cancelled Steve Jobs biopic in February this year. David Fincher was roped in to direct the movie.
The leaked thread revealed Rudin's harsh criticism for Jolie. The "Tomb Raider" actress apparently wanted Fincher to drop the Steve Jobs project and instead direct her movie "Cleopatra."
"YOU BETTER SHUT ANGIE DOWN BEFORE SHE MAKES IT VERY HARD FOR DAVID TO DO JOBS," Rudin wrote in one email.
Rudin also wrote that he had "zero appetite for the indulgence of spoiled brats".
"I'm not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie. I have no desire to be making a movie with her, or anybody, that she runs and that we don't," he continued in the mail.
"She's a camp event and a celebrity and that's all and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming. We will end up being the laughing stock of our industry and we will deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it," he continued adding "We will end up being the laughing stock of our industry and we will deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it."
Rudin also explained in the mail he had no problems telling Jolie about it on her face.
"I'm also happy to say all of this to Angie directly as I have no need to keep her happy and what I DO have is the right to determine for myself a) what I want to do with my own time and work, and b) what I want to do with material I incepted. I won't be part of this idiocy and I'm not - and believe me, I am dead serious about this - spending literally ONE more minute occupying one single inch of brain space with it."
Now that it is out, what would Jolie have to say about Rudin's comments?
The hacker group, which is suspected to be operating from Thailand, has exposed several of the company's private and confidential details including employee social security numbers, passwords, emails and some unpublished pilot plots as well.
Some aliases that celebrities use to operate anonymously have been exposed as well.
