Apple Watch 2 Release Date and Rumors: Add-on Features Delay the Launch of Apple Watch

Rumor has it that Apple is planning to upgrade design for its Apple Watch. Christened by many as "Apple Watch 2," this high-tech wristwatch was supposed to be launched at March 21 event. However, it was disappointing for many as the company did not disclose anything about Apple Watch 2. However, not all is lost yet, as the watch is rumored to launch during WWDC event on June 16 in San Francisco. Another possibility is that it may be unveiled alongside iPhone 7 in September.

According to the buzz, Apple will introduce many new features in Apple Watch 2. These features will be additional to the features that have already been planned by the company for their Apple Watch 2. These new add-ons will be integrated before its final launch.

Some of these rumored features include GPS and wireless battery charger. If GPS and the wireless charging if indeed makes into the product fold will make the original Apple Watch much more powerful and effective. The reports say that the company is still working on these features which is causing the delay. Another feature that the fans can loo forward to is the inclusion of mobile payment option and Apple Pay for the first time.

According to a patent filed by the company, Apple Watch 2 will also come packed with several gesture controls. Gesture control will help the users to activate features by pointing, waving and even use a single finger to use the "phone me" feature.

While all these features together will certainly make Apple Watch 2 worth its salt, it is important to know that these are only rumors and have not been confirmed by the company yet.
