Dexter Season 9 News Update and Rumors: Is the Serial Killer Back?

All the fans of Showtime's crime drama series "Dexter" who had been waiting eagerly for Season 9 may finally get something to cheer about.

According to reports, the ninth season is being discussed by the creative team and Michael C Hall is very likely to reprise his popular role in the coming season. Though nothing has been confirmed by the actor or the television network, rumors regarding revival are doing the rounds.

The show has a huge fan following and after it ended there was a clamor among followers to bring it back. Now that the revival is in the offing, they are wondering how the story will shape up in the coming season.

Further, he should make peace with his misdeeds. The ninth season offers a good platform to decide whether he should go to jail or escape unpunished. The eighth season ended without any conclusive windup and thus, did not strike a chord with viewers. It wrapped up by showing Dexter as a lumberjack.

If the prevailing speculations are to be taken into account, it may be assumed that most of the characters from past seasons will return. There is also a huge demand for the comeback of the creative team that did the first four seasons. Notably, these were the most successful and the next four seasons did not do as well as the first lot.

As for the love life of Dexter, there is not much excitement and therefore, need not be given importance. Rather, the intriguing storytelling tricks such as the one which involved Travis should be focused on.

It may be mentioned here that Michael had indicated in 2014 that he is not averse to playing Dexter but also added that it is a little daunting to play the role for an infinite period of time.
