Nexus 5: Alll you need to know about the Phone
It was all good while it lasted! Being a Nexus user since 4 years now, I gotta admit that even though I miss external features like customizations like app replacements according to alphabetic orders or even some other minor stuff, the Nexus 5 was a solid phone which lasted me good two years!
It came in 2013, about the right time when I was looking to change my set. Thanks to frequent problems I faced on my Xperia SP, this announcement came in right time. Announced in october 31st, I got mine ordered and was in-hands on November 06th.
The phone was about 5.4inch in size about the right size to handle. A full HD 4.95 inch display on a true-display IPS Panel made it all look crisp. It had a pixel density of 495PPI. Corning gorilla glass was on the display to eliminate any scratches. It ran on Kitkat 4.4 the time it released. Powered by a Snapdragon 800 with a Krait 400 Adreno 330 chip to support the CPU. 2GB ram run the phone with a 32GB internal memory the max for the device.
In terms of camera, 8MP rear-camera sensor came out with OIS and a LED Flash capable of shooting full-HD videos at 30fps. The front facing camera is 1.3MP. Wi-Fi bands were standard with new AC band along with hotposts for connections. NFC chips were good, I connected to my smart TV to view my works and it was pleasantly fantastic. There is no radio facility which is a bit disappointing.
However, with apps like Tune-in pro there is nothing to worry. Micro USB v2.0 will charge the phone along with supporting data transfers etc. A non-removable lithium-ion 2300mah battery juices the phone for about 3 to 3.5 hours SOT depending upon varied usage.
