Daniel Radcliffe Could Barely Sit Through His Harry Potter Movies!
Daniel Radcliffe may have earned most of his fortune playing the eponymous role of "Harry Potter" in the film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's blockbuster fantasy novel series, but he isn't really a fan of his work in the movie franchise.
In an Interview with the Daily Mail, Radcliffe said he never really liked his work in the movies, especially the sixth part "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."
But why?
"I think it comes from not actually realizing I didn't have to go to my own premieres and watch the film - that's something I've only just realized you don't have to do. I always went along and sat with everyone else watching the movie," he explained.
"And that's why it's hard to watch a film like 'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince', because I'm just not very good in it. I hate it.
"My acting is very one-note and I can see I got complacent and what I was trying to do just didn't come across," he critiqued his own acting prowess.
Though Radcliffe is eternally grateful for his role as the "boy who lived," he also added that there were many scenes in the film that he wasn't proud of.
"...the moments I'm not as proud of, mistakes other actors get to make in rehearsal rooms or at drama school, are all on film for everyone to see," he said.
However, he did add that his favorite part was "The Order of Phoenix" because he apparently saw some "progression" in the movie. When asked if J.K Rowling liked his portrayal of Harry Potter, he said:
"To my knowledge she [JK Rowling] was always very happy with the way I played him, but it's my job to be critical."
But Radcliffe has gone a long way from "Harry Potter." He has done plays, stripping down to bare nothings for the audience and is now appearing on screen as "Wallace" - a medical school dropout who is a love cynic but could pass off for a "super crazy romantic cheezeball."
