'Fantastic Beasts' News and Update: Movie Footage Will Debut At MTV Movie Awards
The Harry Potter's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" episode, starring Eddie Redmayne, is currently the most awaited, but the least known. It will be releasing much later this year. The mysterious picture is thought to reveal much more at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.
MTV announced that it will give an "exclusive sneak peek" of the movie at the Movie Awards this year. Redmayne, who acts as Newt Scamander in the movie, will exhibit some footage that has never been seen before.
It will be hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart and will be shown on Sunday, April 10 at 8:00 pm ET. Check out the teaser for "Fantastic Beasts" here.
The A-list presenters for the movie awards include Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Olivia Munn and Gigi Hadid. The Generation Award will be received by Will Smith, even as further presenters and performers will be announced later, on the event's date.
This all-new adventure in the wizarding world has been created by J.K. Rowling, who has also created her screenwriting debut here. The Academy Award winner Redmayne will assume the lead role of Newt Scamander. The director is David Yates, who was involved in the Harry Potter final.
Warner Bros' official synopsis can be read here:
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident...were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds."
You can watch the movie when it hits theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
