So who did Megan kill? It's still not known. You have to wait until the fall to know which character got affected in the season six finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead." However, it is known that the hit series fell in the ratings.

On Sunday night, there were only 14.2 million viewers with 8.8 million adults, in the 18-49 demo. So the ratings have suffered a double-digit fall compared to 2015 finale's high season five episode.

Sunday's 90-minute "Last Day On Earth" tumbled about 10 percent, compared to the March 29, 2015 "Conquer" episode. That too had run for 90 minutes, directed by executive producer Greg Nicotero. But unlike last season's finale, the current episode went up against CBS' 51st Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday.

In the 18-49 demo, it showed a 6.9 rating that was 16 percent less than the season five finale. The ending chapter of this week showed the lowest rated finale in total viewership ever since Season 3's 12.42 million finale on March 31, 2013.

Still, the recent finale also witnessed a rise of 15 percent in the total viewers, with a 20 percent rise in the key demo, compared to the earlier March 27 episode.

Moreover, it is also television's most watched program. Within only the sixth season, this finale was the second-most watched episode, just behind the 14.63 million people who had decided to listen to the 90-minute season six premiere last October. This serial is also the biggest talk of the town among television episodes.

AMC also swears in the Live+3 numbers. They usually show a double-digit bump for AMC. The numbers would become accessible to viewers by the weekend.

AMC will feature "The Walking Dead" again for a seventh season in the coming fall season.
