NFL Rumors: Titans Have 50-50 Percent Chance Of Trading

NFL rumor land is currently laden with speculations of Tennessee Titan parting their No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. As the trade-up rumors intensify in the free agent season, reports have begun surfacing about a 50-50 chance that the Titans would try to make a deal as other teams begin lining up at their door to strike a reasonable deal with the franchise?

"The Titans, holders of the first pick in the draft, will have a chance to make a deal. The Titans have received significant interest in the pick," remarked sports analyst Peter King as quoted by Bleeding Green Nation.

He further remarked, "I believe it is now 50-50 whether Tennessee will trade it or keep it. Rookie Tennessee GM Jon Robinson is going to have to decide whether to accept an offer-presumably by a team that wants one of the top two quarterbacks in the draft, Carson Wentz of North Dakota State or Cal's Jared Goff-or to stay at number one and pick a player the Titans believe will be a cornerstone for years to come."

If this rumored plan somehow goes full throttle, then the possible suitors would include teams like the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Rams as reported by the Inquistr.

Other potential teams who have shown interest in such possibility include the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and Seattle Seahawks. Despite being No. 2 in the overall selection, Cleveland fears that their preferred draft may be picked by the Titans and then trade it to another team. Wooing the Tennessee franchise is seen by some analysts as a preemptive act.

Even if the Titans does entertain the possibility, it would still be a win-win situation for the franchise. Parting with their No. 1 pick in exchange for reasonable offer isn't bad at all. Furthermore, going three slots from the first round would still allow them to select competent and high valued drafts like Ramsey or Tunsil to the team's roster as reported by Yahoo Sports.
