Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones News Update: Both Relive Romantic Memories at Aspen
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones is one exemplary couple of Hollywood who went through many ups and downs but never left each other's side.
And the latest news only proves the rock solid love of the pair whose marriage has been going strong for sixteen years. According to reports, the couple went to Aspen and visited the top of a mountain where Michael had proposed to Catherine in 1999. The duo has also shared pictures on social media pertaining to the same.
Catherine posted snaps of her and Douglas, skiing on the mountains, where they rekindled their romance and also renewed their marriage vows. Now, they plan to enjoy more as both have fought their personal demons successfully and the struggles have only strengthened their resolve to keep going.
Those who are aware of the celebrity couple's marriage know that both have had their fair share of pains. Michael battled tongue cancer for around six years after a 2010 diagnosis, whereas Catherine struggled with bipolar disorder and had to undergo treatment. The former's 37-year-old son, from his first marriage, also caused trouble for the duo when he was arrested and sent to prison.
Recently, an ugly rumor also did the rounds, according to which Michael's cancer had resurfaced and the actor was preparing his will and also considered selling his assets. At the end, it turned out to be fake.
Apart from this, the personal differences of the couple also marred their relationship and they decided to split for a brief period in 2013. The separation was cordial and they were just taking some time off from each other so that they could evaluate things in the right perspective. After few months of living away, they reunited in the same year.
It may be mentioned here that Catherine is 25 years younger than Michael but despite the age-gap their bond has always been strong. And both credit mutual respect and love for making them stay together.
