Arsenal News and Rumors: Star Jack Wilshere Embroiled in Fresh Controversy
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who has not played a single minute of football in the 2015-16 season due to an injury, was thrown out of a London nightclub on Sunday morning after he got involved in an altercation. In a videe, that was realesed by the London based publication The Daily Mirror, Wilshere is seen hiding behind a dustbin as he was being spoken to by the police following the incident at the highly exclusive central London nightclub named Cafe de Paris.
The footballer was partying with his friends at the nightclub on Saturday night and it is understood that his girlfriend Andriani Michael was also present. However, the party spiralled out of control when another club patron accused the footballer of striking him and the subsequently the argument carried on even after the footballer had gone out of the club premises. Wilshere's group and those belonging to the man who had accused him were seen arguing in the alleyway, before police intervened and resolved matters after having a word with both groups. Onlookers said there was a lot of screming and cursing involved in the fracas that ensued.
No arrests were made but the police have confirmed that such an incident did take place in a statement, "At 2.15am on Sunday 3 April, police patrolling Coventry Street became aware of two groups of males involved in an altercation. Officers intervened and one man claimed he was assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment. There have been no arrests and inquiries continue. We will not comment on who may or may not have been involved." The owner of the nightclub has said that Wilshere was told by the powers that be at the nightclub to leave but he hastened to add that the star footballer is 'welcome back any time'.
Wilshere's disciplinary problems is now a growing concern at Arsenal following the slew of incidents over the years involving him. Last February he was pictured smoking in a nightclub even after he had been warned against smoking by manager Arsene Wenger.
