"Swiss Army Man" Trailer and News: Daniel Radcliffe 'Loves' Being A Vomiting And Farting Corpse In 'Swiss Army Man' (VIDEO)
The first trailer for Daniel Radcliffe's new R-rated film "Swiss Army Man" was out in the market after the premiere of the movie was featured at the Sundance Film Festival.
The cast of "Swiss Army Man" has Paul Dano, who is stranded on an island and also undergoes suicidal tendencies. He is able to find hope through a corpse, played by Radcliffe, washed to the shore. Dano's character Hank feels that the corpse may be a way that he can use to escape the island. Hence, the "half alive, half dead duo" sets off on an adventure.
"It was great and original and exciting and completely mad, and unlike anything else I've ever done or read," Radcliffe continued. "I loved the physical challenge of it. I loved seeing how painful I could make things look!"
Interestingly, the corpse farts throughout the film. At a certain point, Dano's character uses the flatulent corpse to jet ski over the water.
"Using farts other than comedy, like using them for plot and emotion and making some people super uncomfortable," Radcliffe previously said of the film. "There is something wonderful about it."
"It is totally bananas, but by page two, I was inevitably going to do it," Dano said.
The film has been written and directed by the "Daniels", that is music and video directing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
The movie "Swiss Army Men" won the Dramatic Directing Award at Sundance and the film was picked up by A24. It has got some mixed reviews, but co-director Kwan is revelling in the attention.
"If you read the headlines, they're just amazing," he said. "I couldn't have written them myself."
"I love that it's this perverse and mad," Radcliffe agreed. "It's exciting, to be honest."
The film will release on July 1, 2016
