One of the most sought after games, "Red Dead Redemption," may be in the pipeline, as confirmed by the game developer. Rockstar, however, has not made any official announcements about the game's follow-up sequence.

Finding this information on Tavares' LinkedIn account, the fans tried to look for more information through his profile but he denied working on the sequel and called it a typo error. He has now modified his profile and added "Red Dead Redemption PS3 2010" instead. But NerdLeaks took a screenshot of the account before he made the changes.

After the supposed leak through Tavares' LinkedIn profile, internet is abuzz with rumors that Rockstar may officially announce the game in upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo to be held in Los Angeles in June. However, in the last few years, there has been a constant decrease in the show's attendance which might impact Rockstar's decision to launch their much awaited game in E3 this year. For now, there has been no confirmed news.

Karl Slatoff, president of Take Two Interactive, the official distributor of "Red Dead Redemption," revealed to GameSpot that they are not planning to annualize their game franchise. Instead, they are considering if the game is all set to be used publically or not.

"We don't intend to change annual strategy because of product fatigue. [Take-Two] creates franchise value and [releases have] to be managed deliberately," he said.

"It's tempting to have continuous releases and milk a franchise as far as you can, [but] we've seen that fatigue in other franchises in the games industry. With almost every single franchise for us, the latest release is bigger than the one before."

"Red Dead Redemption" is an action adventure game based on John Marston's life, working as a hired gunman for the government, who has his wife and son as hostage to use that against him.
