Kim Kardashian And Kylie Jenner News Update: Are The Sisters Rivals?

Are the sisters in splitsville? That is what rumours tell us, but facts may be kinder. While the rumors say that Kylie Jenner seems to be competing with her sister Kim Kardashian over rivalry and success, Jenner has always said that she looks up to Kardashian as a role model.

Last month, the rumor mill was working overtime by announcing that Kardashian, 35, was scared that Jenner, 18, was going to take over by "stealing her crown." However, Kardashian dismissed the rumours.

"Kylie and I laugh so hard at this all the time because people will always want to pit us against each other, thinking we have similar careers," wrote Kardashian on her website today in a post titled "My 'Rivalry With Kylie.'" "I think it's amazing - there's no one else I would want to be in the same business with than my sister. She teaches me so much, and I teach her so much, and we're both so close that it's just funny."

"Sometimes I hear a rumor and I'm like, 'Wait, is that true?! What's really going on? I need to call my sister.' But with this one, that has never been the case," she continued. "We are just so supportive of each other and that's really what it is."

Earlier, there were lots of whispers over their spats. "The latest lawsuit involving Kim's failed beauty line has her upset and concerned," an insider said in March. "So much so that she recently visited Kylie's lip kit factory to see how she is doing things and to get some tips from the younger sister. Kim is considering another line of products and, after getting sued for a failed beauty product, she went to Kylie to learn how to do it right."

"Things have flipped for Kim and Kylie," the source added. "The tables have turned and the student is now the teacher. Kylie loves all the attention she is getting on social media and feels like her sisters had their era in the spotlight and now it's her time. Kim recognizes how successful Kylie is becoming and she is taking clues from Kylie. It is not just in beauty, but in social media too. Kylie was the first to jump on Snapchat and now Kim [is] following her lead."

Jenner talked about the so-called "rivalry" a few months ago on her website featuring a video called "Sister Love."

"People always put me and Kim in a competition, or [they say] I'm trying to be Kim, or I'm stealing Kim's throne," Jenner said at the time. "I think people forget that me and Kim are sisters. We're not in a competition. We're completely different people... Kim inspires me. She's one of my biggest inspirations. That's not a secret! I look up to my sister. I don't think that's, like, a weird thing? We have a lot of love for each other."

In June, Kardashian even admitted that she "loves" being compared to her baby sister. "She is the best, you know?" she said."She's my little twin soul. She's such a free spirit, and I love that. She's the sweetest."
