NFL Rumors: Eagles Coach & Owner Hold Private Workout With Paxton Lynch
Football fans want to know about all the details for the NFL draft. Many are wondering what the NFL teams are considering for their teams. It is known that the Philadelphia Eagles team is considering a couple of head quarterbacks. The Eagles team has been on a world tour this past week and will continue with Paxton Lynch on Thursday.
Paxton Lynch, 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds, was a quarterback for three years at Memphis. In those three years, he totaled 8,865 yards in passing, 59 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions while in the last season he totaled 3,776 yards and 28 touchdowns.
CBS Sports reports that the football player, "[throws] with accuracy on the move and comfortable moving the pocket with boots and motions. Good-enough arm strength to fire strikes with a quick trigger. Quick eyes to scan and make whole field reads. Improved poise to sense pressure and comfortable operating from within a confined pocket. Has the arm talent to get away with throwing without a firm base. Coaches praise his ability to acclimate and football IQ."
According to NFL, the Eagles' coach, Doug Pederson, has been holding private workout sessions this past week with draft candidates. Monday was the workout of Jared Goff from California. Stanford's Kevin Hogan worked out on Tuesday while North Dakota's Carson Wentz visit was on Wednesday, leaving Lynch's appointment on Thursday. It is reported that also Eagles' owner, Jeffrey Lurie, will also be visiting each trip, indicating the team's high interest in these candidates.
With Eagles at No.8, it is unsure who the team will draft. Lynch is the No.3 QB making him more likely to be picked, according to NFL, but the site also reports that NFL Media analyst Charles Davis predicts that the Eagles will draft Goff.
The draft will be held on April 28-30.
