Cleveland Cavaliers Trade Rumors: Kevin Love Moving to Boston Celtics?

By Daniel Lee - 30 Mar '16 22:30PM

According to ESPN.com's Zach Lowe, the Boston Celtics made an offer for power foward Kevin Love.

"If (the Cavs) lose again, I'd bet big on Love being elsewhere - a split that might end up the best thing for everyone," Lowe recently wrote. "Cleveland and Boston had trade talks for Love at the deadline, though they died with Boston offering a low-ball package the Cavs wouldn't consider, according to several league sources. Even if Boston's interest has faded, someone will call Cleveland about Love around the draft. (Andrew) Wiggins has more trade value than Love now, but that deal was the right move at the time."

Kevin Love, 27 years old, is averaging 15.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this season. In six seasons playing as a main player for Minnesota Timberwolves, Love averaged 19.2 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. In just under two seasons with Cleveland, he's averaged 16.1 points and 9.8 rebounds.

As the stats shows, Kevin struggled blending in with Lebron James and Kyrie Irving since he moved to the Cavs.

The trade discussion at the deadline between Cleveland and Boston didn't go through because the Cavaliers thought that the Celtic's offer was a "low-ball" offer.

There's acknowledgement that Love's position on the trade market has suffered since he joined the Cavaliers but still many teams are surely interested in him.
