Bronx Man Caught With 1,400 Bags Of Heroin In Rectum
One man found an interesting use for his rectum, though it did not pass the sniff test.
Fernando Estrella stashed 1,400 bags of heroin inside three condoms and pushed them into his rectum, but it did not stop the cops from getting them sniffed out, according to ITV.
It happened at Vermont, when the cops halted him early morning at St Albans, charging him with committing a number of "driving offences," said Sgt. John Helfant of the Vermont State Police.
But a special K9 drug detection police dog sniffed out something else and woofed his suspicion to the officers. They understood that drugs might be present.
However, they could not find any heroin on the car seat, although the dog had sniffed it. Cops found a heroin needle and cooking cap in the car, but did not see any drugs in the seat, or on his body. So they took the 41-year-old in detention, led him to a local hospital and got a warrant so that they could search his body cavity.
A Vermont State Police statement recorded: "The search warrant was executed at the local hospital and approximately 1,428 bags worth of heroin was located in Estrella."
Estrella had brought the drugs from New York City so that he could sell it in Vermont, he said.
After that, the action was swift. He was taken into charge and slapped with "felony, heroin possession, heroin trafficking and heroin importation." It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
He had also violated the terms of his release during a cocaine bust racket in Nov last year, officials said.
He was arrested and arraigned at the Franklin County Superior Court
