KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Cupertino-based tech giant is set to release iPhone 2017 with a radical makeover. If rumors prove accurate, we can expect to see the smart device draped in curved glass caving made of liquid metal and a larger display.

The revamped look is purportedly a radical departure from iPhone 5's metallic chassis but reminiscent of earlier iPhone 4 model and its 4s variant. Despite the viable option of going ceramic and plastic, Apple is said to have a stronger preference for glass panels the well-known tech analyst said.

"We expect the 2017 new iPhone model to adopt a structural design similar to that of iPhone 4/ 4s, meaning it will be equipped with glass on both the front and back sides, and a metal frame surrounded the edges. The difference is that the new model will likely come with a curved screen and curved glass casing," said Kuo as quoted in a Christian Today report.

On top of the abovementioned drastic change of looks, Apple is also believed of putting a slew of unique features that will make it truly remarkable among the metal-cased devices of its rivals.

According to MacRumors, next year's iPhone is slated to come with 5.8-inch AMOLED display, a state-of-the-art biometric security technology with facial or iris recognition and wireless charging.

Currently, the renowned iPhone maker is rumored to be working on three models: iPhone7, 7 Plus, and 7 Pro. The iPhone 7 Pro is reportedly equipped with high resolution dual-camera system. A report from International Business Times also suggests that all three models are set to be released in fall without the 3.55mm audio jack in a bid to outdo other rivals carrying ultra-slim design.

But the question looming on everyone's head is why would Apple go for another drastic makeover of its smartphone? Earlier reports previously indicated that the 2016 model (scheduled for release this fall) will bear features not seen in older models. While we expect Apple to innovate and create the next big thing, it is still worth advising to take rumors with a grain of salt.
