The couple reportedly got married in a secret ceremony at Foxx's mansion in California this year. The reports also confirmed that the duo were spotted wearing wedding bands, confirming the news of their marriage. However, since Holmes' ex-husband "might go crazy" from the news, the couple is keeping their relationship discreet and as far away from media attention as possible. Although now they have started making public appearances together on various occasions.

But there is a still a shroud of doubt about the secret wedding between the two as Jamie Foxx was missing in a recent outing of Katie Holmes with her daughter Suri. The two were seen together enjoying a college basketball between Notre Dame and Stephen F Austin in New York's Barclays Center.

Foxx's representative shunned the rumors in an announcement that the two are neither dating, engaged nor married. Holmes, in a recent article, said that New York is like a sanctuary for her, especially when she is going through a hard time in her life. She said witnessing other people in this city makes her feel grateful that there are people in this town who have tougher lives than hers.

She said, "You suddenly can't be stuck in whatever problem you're in because you have to hail a cab or you have to get a subway ticket. There's more than just you, and I think the harsh winters give you a little bit of character."
