Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, News and Rumors: Android N On The Horizon After Recent Marshmallow Update
Google has just recently released its Android Marshmallow update but a number of tech buffs are already fanning rumor land with anticipation on the purported arrival of a new firmware update for Samsung devices known as Android N.
But insider sources reveal that Google is set to put in Android's latest operating system on the much-awaited Galaxy Note 6 with similar releases for other notable Samsung devices like the Note 5, S6, S6 Edge+, and Note 4.
As reported by Techno Buffalo, Galaxy Note is slated for a scheduled release on July 2016 with the new Android N. Reports so far indicated that Google is in the stages of Android N's development.
Galaxy Note's rumored specs include a purported 5.8-inch Quad HD display with 12-megapixel camera and 64GB/128GB storage offering.
PC Advisor, on the other hand, reported that Google's Android N release is set to take place on May 18-20, 2016 at Google I/O 2016 when registered participants and observers can have sneak preview of the new firmware's slew of features.
So far, there are speculative explanations as to what the 'N' in Android N mean. Gleaning from Android's interesting names for its OS, the next software could possibly be named Nachos or Nougats. To date, Google has released Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow according to a report by Gospel Herald.
Meanwhile, the new OS update are rumored to include features like bundled and direct-reply notifications as well as multi-window giving users the convenience of working in split-screen modes on Samsung Android devices.
Furthermore, as soon as the new update initially rolls out on Galaxy Note 6, all other devices are expected to receive the same eventually.
Currently, the Marshmallow update is gradually released across Samsung's diverse lineup of tech products. The release schedule, however, is not uniform in all devices largely due to differences among carrier networks.
