WhatsApp today delivered an update for its Windows Phone with two new features. Facebook had acquired WhatsApp for around 22billion US$ in 2014. In the latest update v2.12.344, it lets you trim a video before you send it.

Recently, WhatsApp also added a video compressor to the app, which allows users to easily send much longer video. You can now send documents to others in addition to photos and videos. During the previous updates, users were able to send documents directly through the client with restrictions to PDF format only.

The company recently stated that it was working on expanding support to other document file types as well in a future update. In a recent update, users were able to compress the size of video file. In the new update you can now send videos, photos and now documents to friends, family and colleagues. The update is not available for users on Windows Phone 7.8.

By the end of the year, users will either have to upgrade to a new phone or find an alternative to WhatsApp. The Facebook-owned company announced last month that it will drop support for Windows 7.8, Symbian, and BlackBerry OS at the end of 2016.
