The Apple fans are already reeling under the failed launch of MacBook Pro at the March event. Instead, the company chose to unveil their much talked about iPhone SE, iPad Pro and Apple Watch straps. In fact, there was no official word about MacBook Pro at the event.

Although Apple usually releases its new lineup around first quarter and considering that the 13-inch variant was last updated a year ago, it was safe to assume that MacBook Pro will most likely be launched in March. However, since that didn't happen, WWDC Conference slated for June 2016 is the next most probable date.

According to the rumor mills, MacBook Pro will come powered with a SkyLake processor by Intel. As of today, there is no MacBook that comes with SkyLake even though other contenders such as Microsoft, Dell and HP have all incorporated the sixth-generation intel chips.

If this is indeed true, new MacBook Pros will be much faster and efficient, as compared to their predecessors. According to the experts, SkyLake processors will also improve laptop's battery life. It will come preloaded with El Capitan, adding more to the laptop's productivity.

For those who didn't know, the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro has the battery life of 10 hours and the 15-inch variant sports eight hours on a full charge.

Another notable rumor about the device that has been doing the rounds is that the new MacBook will feature a new touchscreen with a detachable option to make it handier.

The design of new MacBook Pro is unlikely to change. The most one can expect is a gold variant of MacBook Pro and that too may be reserved by Apple for a rumored 12-inch variant that will be introduced with the lineup.
