Sherlock Season 4 will be your friend over the television screen in January 2017.

The news about the newscast is multiple and varied. The latest question is---will Mary die? Martin Freeman, who has been Dr. Watson, says that Mary will die in the Season 4 during childbirth.

"While we play fast and loose with the original stories, we generally follow the trajectory of what Conan Doyle did," Martin said. The coming season will spool out just according to the storyline Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

"Thor" star Tom Hiddleston is also expected to join the cast as the third Holmes brother, Sherrinford. Making him join the cast will surely boost the viewership of Season 4, even as Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Sherlock Holmes, according to masterherald.

The ending of the series is expected to be tragic, not happy. "Expect tragedy as well as adventure, that's just how it goes," co-creator of the show Mark Gatiss said. "Just because it's in the stories doesn't mean it'll happen in the series because there's an awful lot of changes and an awful lot of places to go and things to do," he added.

In the special episode, "The Abominable Bride," Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, was trying to rivet out some information on the dead woman. But the big question is---would Moriarty return or not? By the time the Season 3 ended, Moriarty appeared and posed a query---"missing me?"

Arwel Wyn Jones, one of the production designers of the season, has put up some images from the Sherlock Season 3 sets. Hence, the filming has been successful.

There is no guest star, though. This secretive tidbit is revealed by its co-creator, Moffat.
