Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, News and Rumors: Note 6 to Come with Android N in July
Predictably, Samsung has always released its Galaxy Note series at the IFA trade show scheduled in Fall. However, the rumor has it that this time the new flagship handset may come out sooner. This time around, the new Galaxy Note may be launched in July, complete with Android N.
Android N is one of the most sought after OS updates and Google is looking forward to release it for its eager fans, only it doesn't say when. While the developer preview is out, the update has not been officially announced yet. According to Google, OEM's will be given access to Android N by this summer which makes it important for Samsung to get their handset's firmware ready in time if they want their flagship Note 6 to ride with Google's flagship OS. However, looking at Samsung's lack of rush, it seems a bit unlikely.
The technical specs of the phone have been reported about extensively already. But for those who do not know yet, the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 has a huge screen of 5.8-inches, powered by QHD display (2460x1440). According to the rumors, Samsung might kill the diamond pixels and go for slimmer RGB Matrix AMOLED panel instead. A lot has been talked about the pressure sensitivity too but the same was said for S7 but it doesn't support it.
A new patent filing report suggests that Galaxy Note 6 may come with a laptop docking station. While the patent reports are never a conclusive proof of a final product design. However, if it indeed comes with a docking station, the device will transform into a touchpad with enhanced power to operate as a laptop.
Galaxy Note 6 will be released with Galaxy S7 Edge before IFA in 2016 and the most likely launch date is July, along with Google's Android N. iPhone 7 will probably make it in September this year.
