PlayStation VR compatible with PS4 games

Sony has finally put an end to the long wait and has announced its virtual reality headset. A whole new gaming experience to the customers is expected from this headset. The PlayStation VR creates a virtual environment promising the players of a new experience in which the users can actually live the game. The headset immerses the player in the game actually and completely.

The headset carries in it an OLED screen. This screen is expected to give a 120Hz and 360-degree viewing angle and true 3D audio. Apart from this, the PlayStation 4 games are projected in a large screen and this is possible because of its cinematic mode.

All the titles available for the PlayStation 4 console are made compatible with the headset to make the experience better. This is made possible just by plugging the devices together. PlayStation 4 videos are also playable through the said device, as well as other functionalities of the said console such as Share Play.

In an interview with Polygon Masayasu, the executive vice president of PlayStation revealed that people who already own the console will have a better virtual reality quality and the PlayStation VR is easier and more accessible to use when compared with its rival Oculus. This would not even require a personal computer with special or specific functionalities.

PlayStation VR will be available in the market in October, but fans may already pre-order the device starting Mar. 22. Cost-wise, the device is expected to retail at around $399.
