'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 16 Spoilers: A 'Fun' Night Out Turns Into A Wild Chase For A Female Speedster

A supposedly fun night out will suddenly take a twisted road in the next episode of "The Flash" season 2.

It's going to be an interesting night out, with a party for Barry (Grant Gustin) and his friends Iris (Candice Patton), Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Jessie (Allison Bean), and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), in The Flash" Season 2 episode, "Trajectory."

However, a speedster called Trajectory (Allison Paige) roars in, deciding to steal items from various party-goers. Instead of being forced to enjoy, the group will go into the "superhero" mode.

The CW has released a special promo clip, in which executive producer Todd Helbing discloses that Trajectory is the first female metahuman who assumes supernatural speed and will be introduced as "a lot faster than Barry."

However, The Flash won't permit Trajectory or any other speedster create trouble in Central City. "I wanna be fast enough to stop Zoom [Teddy Sears] and any speedsters that try to hurt my friends," Barry says in the video.

Meanwhile, Iris and her new editor, Scott, played by guest star Tone Bell, will undergo a spat. Scott will charge The Flash of looking at the dark side and being deceitful. Iris will be on edge, trying to shield her friend, and not revealing Barry.

The synopsis says that even though the two are sparring, their animosity can transform into a flirtatious interaction. But will Scott be her new love interest?

There are also rumours that comedians Jason "Jay" Mewes and Silent Bob from Kevin Smith's "Askewniverse" in a distant episode of "The Flash" season 2 are now out online.

However, these are just speculations, fanned by Smith. He has confirmed that he will direct an episode in Season 2, and posted a shot of the comedians just in front of the fictional CC Jitters coffee shop. He gave an interesting caption too: "Today is Day 3 of 8 on my episode of @CW_TheFlash! Went for coffee at #CCJitters & found losers loitering outside..."

The contribution of the comedians has not been made clear, though.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 16 will be on air on Tuesday, March 22.
