Sia & Maddie Ziegler Unite to Make Epic ‘Cheap Thrills’ Music Video
Sia and Maddie Ziegler reunite for a new video of "Cheap Thrills" revealing another epic choreography routine that all want to see.
The Dance Moms star last appeared in Sia's "Chandelier" and before that "Elastic Heart" with Shia LaBeouf.
This second re-make of "Cheap Thrills" includes the dancer wearing a nude jumpsuit and of course a blonde and black wig. She was accompanied by two other male dancers, who didn't wear a wig like Maddie, but had still died their hair two different colors, sporting the Sia hairstyle. Ziegler remains in the middle of the two other dance, no doubt making her the start of this music video.
Choreography for this video synced together with the song's summer, the Caribbean feel. The singer had actually admitted that the song was meant for the Barbados singer, Rihanna.
"I realized just as soon as I was cutting it that it sounded a little bit too Brit-pop for her," Sia told Rolling Stones. "It's more Icona Pop. We did actually send it to her, but they passed on it, and then I just couldn't stop listening to it in the car."
She continued, "For some reason, I really liked listening to it, which makes me feel masturbatory, but I wouldn't normally be just jamming out to my own tunes. There's something really uplifting about it that put me in a good mood, and I would just pretend it wasn't me singing. It felt very summer and fun, and I was like, 'I'll put that on there.'"
This third appearance makes it appear as if we'll be seeing Maddie a lot more in Sia music videos in the future, but it's something we won't be getting sick of anytime soon.
