'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers, News and Update: Misfortune of Derek in Ep 18
"Criminal Minds" a popular police procedural show is all set air its 250th celebratory episode
called "The Sandman," this week. This episode is in continuation of the existing story.
Last week, the show's chapter "A Beautiful Disaster" will go deeper into the cliffhanger in this week's episode. Even though the existing case of children abductions from their homes as the parents slept was solved, the show introduced another case as the credits rolled and this one will involve Derek, once again.
Savannah, Derek's wife was picked up by a BAU member after her Lamaze class as the screen turns black. All viewers can hear is a gunshot and a loud scream by Savannah, "Derek." As the show closed, it didn't reveal who was shot but a trailer of the episode shows Derek carrying bruised Savannah.
In the next instant, the scene is cut to Hotch and Morgan in a discussion, possibly discussing about the unsub that shot his wife. In the following scenes, Morgan is seen in an anxious state, talking to Garcia over the phone.
An official synopsis of the episode revealed by Carter Matt says, "When an unsub targets the BAU, the team goes into action to find out who is responsible, on 'Criminal Minds.' Series star Kirsten Vangsness co-wrote the episode with Erica Messer, one of the series' executive producers."
Morgan has been in the spotlight in the last couple of episodes, including the episode "Derek" in which he was seen kidnapped and tortured and then escaping just in time. From the looks of it, it will not be surprising if Moore finally bids the show adieu.
The episode will air on CBS on March 23.
