Apple Event Product News, Price, Specs and Update: New 9.7-inch iPad Pro Introduced Along with 4-inch iPhone SE

The Tech giant Apple has revealed a new 4-inch iPhone along with a smaller iPad Pro during a Monday event. Apple also introduced new bands for Apple Watch.

The new 4-inch is called iPhone SE with the price starting at $399 (16GB model).

It costs $399 with no contract - an extremelylow price for a new iPhone.

The 9.7 inch new iPad Pro is priced at $599 (32GB model). The new iPad pro is set to go on pre-order 24 March. Apple added keyboard and stylus support, and a camera that can take 4K resolution. The device will be available March 31st.

No new Apple Watch was introduced, but at least the old one is cheaper: the previous $349 Apple Watch will now start selling at $299.

Apple's stock fell about 15 percent over the last year, but it's been increasing since the beginning of February. Shares in the company turned negative during the event, which began at 1 p.m. ET and lasted for about an hour.

Apple CEO Tim Cook opened up the event by talking about the company's battle against the U.S. government over whether it should break into the phone used by one of the San Bernardino attackers.

Apple also tackled on environmental issues, and its endeavor to power its offices and stores with renewable energy, with a presentation from environmental director Lisa Jackson.
