NASCAR News: Jimmie Johnson - The Undisputed NASCAR's Super Man
Jimmie Johnson showcased a majestic performance in the Auto Club 400 that was organized on Sunday.
To promote the upcoming movie, Batman vs. Superman, the race had Johnson driving a superman themed car. It further reinforcing the fact the he can at times look invincible even without wearing the 'S' symbol as done by Superman. The race was initially ruled by Kevin Harvick when Johnson seemed out of the race for the winning position till the time when things took a U-turn. It allowed Johnson to get an advantage over Kevin. The first pass was for taking the lead in the race, and finally the second pass registered him as one of the seven in the NASCAR's wins list, breaking a tie with Dale Earnhardt Sr.
As per reports, Dale has claimed that he had guessed and expected Jimmie to go ahead of him. In fact, he feels that Jimmie may also surpass Jeff, who has a total of 93 wins to his credit. And, the great story behind it is that Jeff actually brought Jimmy to this circuit.
However, the question before fans and enthusiasts is that - Can Johnson, who currently is aged 40 with 77 career wins challenge the record of 93 which Gordon has? Statistics say that if Johnson continues his game in the same form at the rate of 4.8 wins per season, the record of 93 wins should be within reach. Johnson is mindful of the fact that success is not easy to come, and there is no guarantee that the success form would linger with him long enough for him to reach to Jeff's record of 93 wins.
Having said that, irrespective of whether Johnson reaches Jordon or not, his career is already a star!
