World Twenty20 : New Zealand’s winning streak might seal its semi-final spot
New Zealand has been performing consistently and has seemed to adapt well in the Indian sub continental pitches. With its two convincing wins against the ICC World Twenty20 favourites India and Australia, New Zealand has been able to defend a meagre total batting first both the times. Well thanks to their bowling side, it seems to be performing well and has been able to successfully defend the small total put up by its batting side. Tomorrow New Zealand will be facing Pakistan, who has recently lost their match against India and is under tremendous pressure to deliver well in this match. While Pakistan plays for keeping its semi-final hopes alive and New Zealand for continuing its winning streak and seal its spot in the semi-finals. It is also to be noted that New Zealand is the only team in group A notto have suffered any defeats, while the rest has suffered. The weather seems to be posing no kind of real threat to the match and might expect a good encounter between the two teams here at PCA Stadium, Mohali.
Later the other day New Zealand coach Mike Hesson stated that Ross Taylor was playing a run lower to balance the batting unit. The batting department has so far not been up to the mark and needs to put up a better performance against Pakistan in tomorrow's match. While on the other side bowlers has done a splendid job in restricting the opposition team scores. While in Pakistan's squad both batting and bowling order had performed well in the first match against Bangladesh but lost its line in the second match against India. The pitch report states that there was right balance for batting side and the ball is expected to turn a bit and might give an extra edge for the spinners.
