‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season Update, News and Rumors: – A major turnaround in Episode 16!

If rumors are to be believed, a major character is going to die in episode 16 of the 'Vampire Diaries.'

The synopses of the episode as stated by the Australia Network, touted that the character, Damon, being played by the director of the episode Ian Somerhalder, would sacrifice himself and offer to have his brother's scar in an attempt to safeguard Stefan from Rayna.

The main plot of the Vampire Diaries state that each time the character Rayna dies and regenerates itself, one of the last Everlastings' body decays. Now, currently there are two such bodies which are left and once these get destroyed, Rayna would demise for the good. However, before dying for the good, Rayna would kill anyone marked with the Phoenix Store sword which, to the disappointment of Damon, his brother Stefan has.

The main agenda for episode 16 starts with Damon trying to help his brother by magically transferring the scar held by Stefan on to himself, but discovers that there are certain unexpected risks and consequences which are attached to the same. At the same time, Rayna was closing on to Stefan and to ensure timely savior of Stefan, Valerie convinces Damon before it's too late. Post which, there is a violent encounter with the Nora forces and Enzo, who attempts to get a clean chit from the guilt of breaking Rayna out of the armory.

Thus, episode 16 comes with a lot of curiosity on behalf of the viewers on the decision taken by Damon, on whether he would sacrifice his character for the well-being of his brother, Stefan as the only way Stefan could be saved is if Damon perishes. The same has been already hinted by the director Somerhalder previously that the season seven could mark the end of the vampire character in the series.
