Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date: Much Awaited Phone to Hit the Market in Third Quarter This Year
The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is going to hit the market this year.
The South Korean giant wants to repeat the success story of Galaxy Note 5 which was unveiled about the same time at the IFA, in Berlin, last year and had grabbed all the eyeballs at the event. According to International Business Times, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will hit the market in the third quarter this year.
This highly-anticipated, top-notch offering from Samsung is being touted as the show-stealer but it is also being said that iPhone 7 will give it tough competition as the company is working hard on the design and functions. The Apple offering is also slated to release this year, but it is expected to come later, not until the fall of 2016.
As per reports, Galaxy Note 6 will be presented as a professional-level, smartphone-laptop hybrid. Samsung has made concrete efforts in this regard and has applied for a patent on a "phablet dock" which allows a smartphone to become processing unit for a laptop-sized device. Since Samsung S7 is out with Android M 6.0, it goes without saying that Galaxy Note 6 will come preinstalled with the upgraded OS.
It will come packed with many new features as well. Observers are saying that it will have 6 GB of RAM, a first of its kind. The internal storage will also get a major boost what with the manufacturer recently announcing its assembly of 256GB memory chips for use in mobile devices.
In keeping with the micro SD support provided in Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 6 is expected to have the same support. Cool characteristics such as water-resistant chassis and wireless charging will also stay. As for screen, a 5.8-inch Quad HD display is in the offing. The low-light camera of 12-megapixel, launched in Galaxy S7 models will be also available on the Galaxy Note 6.
