Princess Shyngle News: Waist Training May Have Led To Actress' Hospitalization
Princess Shyngle, a famous actress in Ghana, declared to 50,000 followers in Instagram Friday that she was hospital-bound. Her waist training and slimming fads were probably the reason why she got hospitalized for kidney disease, according to various rumours and speculations by fans.
Later, her post got deleted, as she faced criticism for adopting a waist training technique that is rumoured to have led to the kidney treatment.
The technique has become the rage even as the Kardashian sisters, Amber Rose and Jessica Alba, have reportedly managed to get a slim waist due to the adoption of this technique.
This is quite a dangerous training technique, though. "If someone gets addicted to wearing a waist trainer day after day the inner organs will shift," Dr. Galyna Selezneva said in relation to Shyngle's case. "There will be a disbalance in the cavity as it is not normal to have such as small waist. There can also be changes to the ribs and bone structures," Selezneva added. "Obviously if you are wearing them repeatedly, you are not exercising the muscles so they are also wasting."
Moreover, even if the belt makes your waist look slim and pretty for a night, it does not help to shape the body or cut down the fat. Boston University School of Medicine expert Caroline Apovian said: "In my opinion, that is complete nonsense."
It in fact limits the air flow, breathing and air circulation. It also leads to decreased heart rate (15 to 20 percent), perspiration (90 percent) and blood flow to the fingers (36 percent), according to a 2015 controlled study involving twenty-plus women.
Meanwhile, Shyngle said in another Instagram post Monday. "[I want to] clear to everyone that waist training had absolutely nothing to do with me having a kidney infection," she wrote. She also put up a few possible "causes" of her kidney problem.
Still, the rumours continue to buzz in spite of her denial. The popularity of the waist trainer too does not seem to abate!
