1. 9.7 inch iPad Pro will be a successor to the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro and will have almost similar specifications, including support for Apple Pencil. The tablet will also have four speakers on the similar positions like the original iPad Pro.

2. In terms of design, the device will look similar to iPad Air 2 which was released in 2014.

3.The new iPad Pro mini, a name that some reports are suggesting, will also have a Smart Connector, which means it will support accessories like Smart Keyboard, which was initially built for the bigger iPad Pro.

4. In terms of hardware, the 9.7 inch iPad Pro will have A9x processor and a RAM of 3-4 GB. It is also expected that the battery life on iPad Pro mini will be more than 8-10 hours.

5. However, 3D touch, that arrived first on Apple Watch, and iPhone 6S lineup last year, will be unavailable on the tablet.
