iPhone 7 Release Date, Specs And Rumors Update: Additional Premium Version iPhone 7 Plus Pro With Dual Camera To Debut Alongside?
Apple might be thinking of expanding its iPhone lineup with an additional premium version, a so-called "iPhone 7 Plus Pro," according to rumors.
Citing Apple observer and KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, MacRumors noted that instead of just two iterations, the upcoming iPhone 7 lineup will have an additional premium version, a so-called "iPhone 7 Plus Pro." The phone will be identical to the iPhone 7 Plus but instead of a single iSight camera on the back, the "Pro" edition will have a dual-cam setup.
Rumors suggest that the Apple will release the iPhone 7 in September, along with the iPhone 7 Plus Pro.
As a matter of tradition, the iPhone 7 will get a new processor and we could see 2GB RAM in the iPhone 7 and 3GB RAM in the iPhone 7 Plus. The upcoming iPhones are also expected to deliver more power and longer battery life to users.
According to a new report, Apple will use an Intel LTE modem in the iPhone 7 that could support faster LTE speeds.
iPhone 7 will likely arrive with iOS 10 pre-installed.
The new iPhones could also sport a sapphire display, which would offer a higher degree of scratch and shatter-resistance than the current models' Gorilla Glass, CNET reported. The higher-end Apple Watch models have sapphire displays -- as well as OLED technology that provides best-in-class black levels, contrast and colors on a growing assortment of smartphones (including the Samsung Galaxy S6), the site added.
