Samsung Galaxy S7 Closely Competing With LG G5
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) has just concluded in Barcelona, Spain showcasing an interesting array of the latest smartphones unveiled by respected tech makers. The newly-introduced handsets at the confab will probably start hitting the stores either by the end of March or April.
According to GSM Arena blogpost, some analysts think that Samsung's new flagship device deserves to be called the best Android smartphone of the year for putting in the desirable features that many of its fans want. But LG's G5 is equally outstanding for being touted as 'most innovative'.
Let's see how these two Korean-based devices compare by looking at some of their prized features that get everyone excited.
Samsung Galaxy 7 and S7 Edge- Pre-MWC reports have confirmed Samsung's new flagship devices' dust-resistant and waterproofing design which should give the handsets the ability to withstand rugged conditions. In a tech report by Emirates 24/7, the devices are equipped with Quad HD Super AMOLED display with an always-on screen, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 Octa processor, a razor-sharp 12 MP dual camera, 3,600mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, and a microSD slot for an expandable memory of up to 200GB.
LG G5- LG, another South Korean smartphone maker, managed to position itself as a worthy competitor to Samsung in the recently concluded tech confab with a number of innovative features to brag about. According to PC Advisor, G5 comes in modular design, metallic frame, 2800mAh replaceable battery, clip-on accessories for camera grip and audio amplifier (both sold separately), and Quad HD LCD display with always-on screen. The device runs on Snapdragon 820 processor and includes 4GB of RAM, 16MP dual camera, and expandable microSD storage up to 200GB.
As for the pricing, Samsung now accepts pre-orders for its new flagship devices starting at $799 but the price is expected to drop by as much as 20% a few months after the initial release. LG has not publicly announced official pricing for G5 but if Mobile Fun is right, the handset is priced at $748.99.
