Kim Did Not Break The Internet, Psy Did

Kim Kardashian may have tried to break the Internet, but it turns out Psy actually did it. Psy's "Gangnam Style" has been viewed so many times on YouTube, even the service itself could not keep up for a while.

Even after 30 months since it was posted on YouTube, people still watch it "absurd" number of times and the view count has been push to more than 2.15 billion.

YouTube never expected any of its videos would garner this huge number of views. In a post Monday, the company wrote:  "We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY. "Gangnam Style" has been viewed so many times we had to upgrade to a 64-bit integer (9,223,372,036,854,775,808)!"

"Hover over the counter in PSY's video to see a little math magic and stay tuned for bigger and bigger numbers on YouTube," it added.

As of now, South Korean pop star holds the record for most overall views and most views in a day with 38 million for his music videos "Gangnam Style" followed up by "Gentleman."

Hate it or like it, Justin Bieber holds the record for second most watched video on YouTube for "Baby."

After update, YouTube's view counter can go up to 9  quintillion views (9,223,372,036,854,775,808, to be exact). Hopefully, this could hold Psy for a while.
