George Clooney Planning To 'Grow Old And Grey' In UK Mansion With Amal Alamuddin
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin talks about the distant future with wife, Amal Alamuddin and where they will live.
In an interview mentioned in Mirror, the 54-year old actor that he wants to eventually settle in their late 17th-century Sonning mansion in Berkshire.
"Not in the near future. But in the long run that's a house where I can imagine living with my wife and getting old and grey," he said.
"When I speak about old and grey, I'm only referring to myself!" he added jokingly.
Clooney brought the £10million nine-bedroom estate last year and did a lot of renovations in the mansion with the addition of a 60ft swimming pool, cinema and tennis court. To make their nest fully secured, the couple had earlier planned to install gigantic CCTV cameras on 18ft poles but failed to get permission from the town council because of privacy issues.
Aside from having other celebrity neighbors and a great view of the Thames River, Clooney also was proud to announce that the place has 'the greatest pub in the world,' according to Design Trend.
"The only other thing on this island with us is a dinner theater. So I have work later in life. Doing a one-man show of '12 Angry Men'" he once said.
As for his other mansions, Amal Alamuddin is rumored to be urging the actor to sell his Lake Como home.
"She loves Como, but she hates how open it is and she'd love him to get something more private. She feels vulnerable in that house," a source said.
Meanwhile, since day one of their marriage, divorce and pregnancy rumors have been hounding the A-list couple.
The latest was when the Hail Ceasar! actor finally shut down pregnancy rumors of his wife Amal during the Good Money Gala in Amsterdam.
