It is a good thing coach Jim Harbaugh does not have to pay for any of the travel fees that come with recruiting football players to the University of Michigan.

According to university records, reported by USA TODAY Sports, Harbaugh and his staff's airborne trips across the country cost more than $10,000 per day. Under Harbaugh's massive contract, the University of Michigan had agreed to provide the coach with private aircraft travels that are considered to be "reasonable and necessary for all recruiting purposes."

The trips, which spanned 12-days from Jan. 19 through to the 30th, took place during Harbaugh's first month as the head coach of the football team. A total of 18 travel legs involving Harbaugh and his assistants were made. An additional five legs that were considered "dead" since no passengers were onboard were recorded. There was also a travel leg involving a solo assistant. The entire cost of these trips was $136,000.

The recruitment process resulted in a highly talented group of players from 13 states.

The records also revealed that Harbaugh also had his attorney, Jeffrey S. Klein, invoice the school during the school year of 2014-2015 for up to $30,000 in legal fees. The University of Michigan had offered to reimburse Harbaugh that amount in his contract.

In total, the school spent $739,337, which is significantly more than total that the school spent during the 2013-2014 school year.
