Deadpool Is Marvel's Newest ‘Merc With A Mouth’ Superhero
Marvel has recently gave the superhero character a twist with the release of Deadpool, the superhero said to be filled with 'raunchy' humor with nasty stunts giving the superhero character a twist.
Directed by Tim Miller and Daniel Way, Deadpool talks about the life of Wade Wilson (played by Ryan Reynolds), the man behind the seemingly spiderman suit. The trailer opened up with Wilson, with his mouth always blabbering, while getting rid of the bad guys with ease, USA Today reported.
It then had a flashback showing his life before he became a superhero and that is being desperate after he knew he got cancer and cannot be with his lover, exotic dancer (Morena Baccarin) any longer.
He was then offered to have the cancer cured in one condition, that his body will become indestructible and his face getting ugly, 'pizza face' as what he told his barkeeper confidant, Weasel (T.J. Miller). He then is set to for a mission to fight against the villain Ajax (Ed Skrein) and the super-strong henchwoman, Angel Dust (Gina Carano).
Like any other Marvel movie, Deadpool comes along with other superheroes in the Marvel universe-the metallic juggernaut played by Stefan Kapicic and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand)
In an interview with Indy Week, scriptwriter Daniel Way who also writes for the comics and had produced fifty-five issues, from 2008 to 2012 aired his confidence that Deadpool the movie will capture the superhero-loving audience and Deadpool fans.
This is the Deadpool we know from the comics. This is our boy, Wade Wilson," he said.
Way also said that Tim Miller had also been 'blown away' after reading the script.
"Everyone that worked on the film was either a huge Deadpool fan or converted because Tim sold it. If he's happy with it, then I have a lot of faith other fans will be, because he is on our side, one hundred percent."
Meanwhile, filmmakers of the newest Marvel superhero movie are optimistic that audiences will enjoy Deadpool in its opening on February 12 and are expecting to see something more of the funny and witty superhero.
With this, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the movie, are set to write another sequel for the movie slated to hit a $70 million income this weekend, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The management is also targeting to keep the team together with Tim Miller as director in the sequel.
